Banghoek was named De Bange Hoek — meaning “the scary corner” — by Dutch travellers who feared the leopards that roamed its inaccessible peaks and densely wooded valley. Jacques H. Malan recognised the potential of its unique terroir and registered the Banghoek Ward in 2005. Grapes for the Rainbow’s End Banghoek Red Blend are grown on the slopes facing the Banghoek kloof.
This Malan family wine captures the essence of its unique terroir, where the earth reaches for the sky to produce grapes of exceptional character. It is ready to be enjoyed now.
